Arbuckle 2016, A Pictorial History

The first day was contested at The Ranch in Southwick Mass.
The 16th hole at The Ranch is the signature hole, a long downhill par 5

In Amherst
In Shelburne Falls

In the sand.

Just a bunch of holes in some rocks.

The Cat at the 13th at Waubeeka. Modeled after the 11th hole at the Yale GC; the photo does not do justice to the size/steepness of the hill.
The tournament came down to the penultimate hole at Waubeeka. A par five modeled after the famous Road Hole at St. Andrews. Straus and Braun came into the hole all square. Straus found himself lying three in the bunker; the graveyard of many at St. Andrews. His up and down  effectively clinched the tournament.

Since we were too consumed with the match to capture the action, here's a pro at St. Andrews. If you squint, maybe you can picture Peter Straus, Champion Golfer of Arbuckle 2016.
